Photonic Corp’s IP encompasses a broad range of innovative solutions for photonic applications, including:

• Basic building blocks for highly integrated photonics and electronics
• Integrated architectures for high speed, low cost optical interconnections
• Novel optical sensor configurations for detecting chemical, biological, and other materials
• Platforms for photonic and electronic circuit integration

Process

Photonic Corp uses novel, proprietary wafer processing techniques to optimize the performance of
our photonic circuits. This enables us to create devices with:

• Improved performance due to lower waveguide and coupling loss
• Increased tolerances, allowing improved manufacturing yields
• Unique material combinations better supporting a multiplicity of photonic functions
  

Applications

Photonic Corp focuses our technology development on the needs of specific applications.
Some that we have addressed are:

• 160Gb/s transmitters using monolithically integrated 16 channel DWDM laser arrays
• DWDM tunable receivers supporting 8 to 16 channels of 10Gb/s digital or 20GHz
  analog signals
• High performance photonic sub-components
• High powered QCLs for IR optical sensors
